In 2016, computer problems statewide affected more than 14,000 tests.

According to the Texas Tribune,  students taking the STAAR exam reported technical problems again.

Some students were kicked out of the testing software while taking the exam. There were more than 100,000 students taking the exam at this time; however, it is not clear how many were affected.

Theresa Treviño, president of Texans Advocating for Meaningful Student Assessment, which has lobbied against high-stakes testing in Texas, said the glitch affected students at more than a dozen schools across Texas.
